Professor Brian Cox is a physicist and broadcaster from Lancashire.

He currently serves as professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester, and works at the highly-publicised Large Hadron Collider, as well as presenting BBC Radio Show The Infinite Monkey Cage with stand-up comedian and writer Robin Ince.

His science books Why Does E=mc²?

and The Quantum Universe were a huge success, and academically he has been the author or co-author of over 950 scientific publications, including his own Doctorate Thesis, which was titled Double Diffraction Dissociation at Large Momentum Transfer.
