          Biography of Rebekah Del Rio

Rebekah Del Rio (born July 10, 1967) is a Latin American singer and songwriter.

Her musical career, as seen in David Lynch's film "Mulholland Drive," began when she was just eleven years old. Del Rio's most unique style was showcased in her most famous song, the beautiful ballad "Llorando," a Spanish version of Roy Orbison's "Crying." The song combined Del Rio's Latin roots with the influence of renowned singers such as Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Vikki Carr, and Karen Carpenter.

In 1994, thanks to this song alone, Rebekah relocated to Nashville, where she secured a contract with Irving Azoff's "Giant Records." Shortly after Rod Stewart's performance at the 25th annual WEA conference, Del Rio released her first album, "Nobody's Angel." The titular song was featured on a WEA compilation album and reached second place in the Dutch charts.
