PORT WASHINGTON, WI – (September 17, ) – The City of Port Washington is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $ grant from the Wisconsin.

Bob was born in Elk Mound, WI on March 31, 1927, son of Alfred and Cora Blodgett Peterson. He joined the Navy after he graduated from high school and served until 1946. On June 18, 1950, he was united in marriage with Lita Karns in Menomonie, WI.

Bob served as the principal at Dunwiddie Elementary School in Port Washington from 1963 until it closed in 1980, then served as the principal at Saukville Elementary until his retirement in 1985. Mr. Peterson was very active in the community.

He had been a charter member of SPEBQSA, a member of Alpha Phi Omega, sat on the Manitou Girl Scout Council, belonged to the Kiwanis, the Library Board, the Port Washington Senior Center, and was a long -time member of St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as the Chairman of the
